Our Story

Founded in 1994 by Chris and Mike Beatty, the Florida Wild Mammal Association is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife. After Chris's passing in late 2022, her daughter Jessica Beatty took over as Executive Director, continuing the mission of providing care to Florida's wildlife.

Impact

FWMA cares for over 1,500 animals each year, with a remarkable total of over 20,000 rehabilitated since its inception. The organization strives to release every animal back into its natural habitat after recovery.
