The Florida Scholastic Hockey League, founded in 1998 by Dr. Peter Pearlman and co-founders Dr. Joseph Yates and Dr. Patrick Graham, has evolved from four teams to over 40 teams across Florida. Renamed the Florida Panthers Scholastic Hockey League in 2017, the league acknowledges the invaluable support from the Florida Panthers Hockey Club, which has been instrumental in its growth and success.
The FPSHL provides high school students with the chance to engage in organized ice hockey, promoting sportsmanship, competitiveness, and safety while also recognizing academic achievements through scholarships and the Leadership Academy.
