About Florida Flywheelers Antique Engine Club
Founded in 1972, the Florida Flywheelers Antique Engine Club is dedicated to promoting the restoration, preservation, and exhibition of antique internal combustion engines, steam engines, tractors, and autos. Initially, members hosted shows at their homes and farms, but as interest grew, larger venues were needed. In 1997, the club purchased nearly 240 acres in south Polk County, establishing Flywheeler Park, a central location for showcasing collections to the public.
Today, Flywheeler Park features a tractor pull track, club buildings, and extensive displays of large engines, attracting over 1,500 members. The club hosts three major shows each year, educating the public about the historical, technical, and social contributions of these remarkable machines. Additionally, the Florida Flywheelers are committed to giving back to the community through events like Christmas in the Village and supporting local FFA Tractor Restoration Teams.
