Our Story

FLIGHT 33 was founded on February 17, 1999, when Christine Puzauskas witnessed a tragic event on the evening news. A murder-suicide in Guadalupe, Arizona, left six children orphaned and their grandmother as their sole caretaker. Moved by this tragedy, Chris and her family, along with the church youth program she established, began to support the affected family. Volunteers provided food, clothing, and educational assistance, leading to the creation of FLIGHT 33. Awarded 501(c)(3) status in 2003, FLIGHT 33 continues to serve the community with a dedicated team of volunteers and board members.

Our Impact

Each year, FLIGHT 33 serves 250-300 children through essential programs like the back-to-school backpack initiative and basic needs assistance. Education remains the top priority, as children cannot thrive in school without proper clothing, hygiene items, and school supplies.
