Our Story
The Fishing Academy was founded by John Hoffman, a Brighton resident who discovered fishing as a positive escape from street life. Inspired by Youth Enrichment Services, TFA aims to help youth from Allston, Brighton, and other Boston neighborhoods avoid drugs and violence while connecting with nature.
Impact
Over 10,000 children and 1,000 veterans have been served, with 60 past participants gaining their first employment experience.
