Our Story

First3Years has been dedicated to giving every child a great start since 1980. Known as the Texas Association of Infant Mental Health, this organization supports parents and caregivers by applying Infant Mental Health and Early Relational Health research through training, mentoring, advocacy, and collaboration. The everyday experiences between young children and their caregivers are crucial in shaping how a child's brain develops and interacts with the world.

As the only organization in Texas working across sectors to enhance positive lifetime outcomes, First3Years supports a specialized early childhood workforce and fosters systemic change for infants and toddlers. Annually, over 154,000 children benefit from these efforts.
