Our Story

What began in the early 1980s as a small gathering of friends selling wine has blossomed into a vibrant community event that has raised over $50 million for children and families in need. The Classic Wines Auction, initiated in 1982 by Metropolitan Family Service, has evolved significantly over the years. In 2005, the auction transitioned to Classic Wines Foundation, allowing for greater outreach and increased fundraising potential. This event has not only survived economic challenges and weather adversities but has thrived, adapting its format and expanding its culinary offerings to engage more supporters.
