Figueroa Wu Family Foundation

Our Story

The Figueroa Wu Family Foundation was established in 2017 in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria. The foundation emerged from the Figueroa Wu family's commitment to support Puerto Ricans in need, organizing relief efforts across ten municipalities in the Caribbean. Since then, it has focused on community wellness, targeting hunger, and fighting racial and economic inequities.

Impact

Since opening the Pilsen Food Pantry in 2018, over 5,000,000 pounds of food and household supplies have been distributed to more than 140,000 visitors. Additionally, the foundation has delivered over $100,000 in medications and supplies to communities in Puerto Rico.
