Fighting Chance

Our Story

Fighting Chance is America’s oldest and largest free cancer counseling center, dedicated to supporting newly diagnosed cancer patients in the Eastern End of Long Island. With a compassionate team of licensed healthcare professionals, including clinical psychologists and oncology social workers, the organization offers in-person counseling services to help patients cope with the psychological effects of cancer. Located in Sag Harbor and within the Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Phillips Family Cancer Center, Fighting Chance serves hundreds of patients each year, ensuring they receive the emotional support they need during their challenging journey.
