Our Story

Founded in the early 1990s by Emilio Lopez, Sr. and Roy Lopez, Fiestas Patrias Mexicanas of Bryan / College Station has been a cornerstone of cultural celebration in Bryan, Texas for over 30 years. Each year, the organization hosts a vibrant cultural celebration parade that attracts around 10,000 attendees to the Historical Downtown Bryan District. This event not only showcases the rich traditions of Mexican culture but also fosters community unity through the arts.

Our Impact

With a vision of a world that values all cultures, education, and the arts, Fiestas Patrias is dedicated to promoting education through scholarships for high school students, adults pursuing higher education, and educators advancing their studies. The organization collaborates with the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley to instill the beauty of Mexican culture in the community.
