The Field’s Edge was founded in 2016 by John-Mark and Briana Echols, who dedicated their lives to supporting the homeless. After years of volunteering, they sold their home and moved to Austin, Texas, to create a tiny home community for the chronically homeless. Their journey began with a four-month internship at Community First Village, where they learned the importance of community and support.
The Glean Up program provides low-barrier employment opportunities for the homeless, allowing them to earn dignified income while receiving personalized case management to aid in their recovery and development.
