Our Story
FieldHaven Feline Center began in 2003 with a simple mission: to rescue and care for feral cats. Sisters Jann Flanagan and Joy Smith started their journey in a trailer on a private horse ranch in Lincoln, California. As the community's needs grew, so did FieldHaven. In 2011, a state-of-the-art cat center was built in collaboration with the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program, setting a new standard for feline care.
Our Impact
In 2023, FieldHaven achieved a remarkable no-kill status for over 90% of the cats entering the shelter, solidifying its position as the leading cat and kitten specialists in the Greater Sacramento area.
