Our Story

Fetter Health Care Network, originally established as the Franklin C. Fetter Family Health Center, has been a beacon of hope for Charleston’s low-income community since its inception. Founded under the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) with initial funding from the Federal Office of Economic Opportunity, this organization has evolved into the oldest federally-qualified health center in South Carolina. Celebrating over 50 years of service, Fetter has expanded its reach and services, ensuring that quality health care is accessible to all.

For over five decades, Fetter Health Care Network has provided essential health care and dental services to the insured, uninsured, and underserved residents of Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, and Dorchester Counties.
