Our Story

The Ferret Association of Connecticut, Inc. (FACT) is one of the oldest non-profit humane and educational ferret organizations in the United States, founded in 1991. This organization is dedicated to the long-term welfare of ferrets, providing essential information, advocating for their protection, and supporting shelter efforts for lost or abandoned animals.

Impact

FACT maintains a shelter that re-homes adoptable ferrets and ensures lifetime care for special needs and elderly ferrets. Each year, 25 to 30 ferrets find loving homes through the innovative Foster Program, which prioritizes individualized care and attention.
