Our Story

The Fenway Garden Society, established in 1942, is one of the last remaining World War II Victory Gardens in the United States. Nestled within Frederick Law Olmsted’s Emerald Necklace, it encompasses over 500 gardens across 7.5 acres, cultivated by a vibrant community of more than 475 members from diverse neighborhoods in Boston.

Our Impact

This historic site not only preserves decades of gardening history but also fosters community engagement and environmental sustainability through urban gardening.
