Our Story

Founded in 1992 by Tessie Alarcon, Feed the Hungry, Inc. began with a simple act of kindness towards a hungry street boy in the Philippines. This moment ignited a passion to help those in need, leading to the establishment of a multi-program charity dedicated to alleviating poverty and enhancing the economic conditions of Filipino families. With a robust network of volunteers across the United States, the organization has sent approximately five hundred million pesos worth of assistance to the Philippines.

Our Impact

Feed the Hungry, Inc. has made significant strides in improving lives, having built over 140 classrooms, installed 14 water systems, and provided supplemental feeding to over 5,000 malnourished children. Additionally, the organization has distributed more than 150,000 used books to schools and offered emergency assistance to over 100,000 families affected by calamities.
