Our Story

Established in 1983, the Federal Way Symphony Orchestra was founded by passionate music lovers dedicated to bringing high-quality, approachable music to the South Sound region. Under the leadership of Maestro Brian Davenport for 36 years, the Symphony evolved from intimate performances in local churches to grand productions in the state-of-the-art Performing Arts & Events Center. In 2020, Adam Stern took the helm as Music Director, bringing his extensive experience with the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Philharmonic.

Impact

The Federal Way Symphony is committed to nurturing the region’s talented young artists by providing free tickets for youth under 18 and offering scholarships for aspiring musicians through partnerships with local organizations.
