Fearless Beauty

Our Story

Fearless Beauty was founded in 2014 by Heather Packer to empower women impacted by institutional and social injustice through cosmetology education and mentorship. Initially launched in Rishikesh, India, the program aimed to equip young women with skills and confidence for economic independence. In 2017, the focus shifted to support justice-involved women in the United States, starting with a program at Rikers Island Jail in 2018 and later partnering with the Women’s Prison Association.

Impact

Fearless Beauty has successfully trained numerous women, with 23 out of 29 participants in its flagship program graduating. Many graduates have secured jobs in the beauty industry or gained employment elsewhere, thanks to the skills and confidence acquired through the program. The organization continues to expand its reach, supporting women transitioning out of incarceration.
