Our Story

Founded in 1943 by dedicated volunteers, Family and Children's Service has a rich history of supporting vulnerable children and families in Nashville. Initially focused on finding adoptive homes for children orphaned during WWII, the organization has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community, offering a wide array of safety net social services.

Impact

Each year, Family and Children's Service provides vital support to over 90,000 Tennesseans, ensuring that children and families can find safety and health, especially those who often fall through the cracks of traditional social services.
