In April 2009, FBI Special Agent in Charge Steven Martinez initiated the formation of the FBI Las Vegas Citizens Academy Alumni Association. The first meeting took place on May 18, 2009, with key community leaders at Frias Holding Company. The organization was officially established with the filing of By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation in October 2009.
The FBILVCAAA is dedicated to fostering a safer community through educational outreach and community service projects focused on law enforcement.
