Favor Foundation

Our Story

Favor Foundation, founded by Executive Director Shontia Gilliard, is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Charleston, South Carolina. Since 2017, the foundation has been committed to providing transitional housing for homeless women and offering essential outreach services, including free food, clothing, and community resources. Through partnerships with local organizations like Project Street Outreach and International Evangelic Ministries, Favor Foundation ensures that the needs of the community are met effectively.

Impact

Since October 2016, Favor Foundation has made a significant impact by providing food and clothing to those facing food insecurity in Charleston. The Backpack Ministry has distributed over 10,000 backpacks filled with non-perishable food, seasonal clothing, toiletries, and survival items to the homeless, continually expanding its reach with each event.
