Our Story

Farms To Grow, Inc. was co-founded by Dr. Gail P. Myers and Gordon Reed in 2004. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to supporting Black farmers and underserved sustainable farmers across the United States. By promoting sustainable farming and innovative agricultural practices, Farms To Grow preserves cultural and biological diversity while maintaining the agroecological balance of local environments.

Impact

Through one-on-one and cohort technical assistance, Farms To Grow empowers African American agricultural producers to develop actionable plans for their operations. The organization connects communities with local farmers, supports farmers' markets, and facilitates community-supported agriculture (CSA) programs, enhancing access to fresh produce and promoting economic development in underserved areas.
