Our Story
Founded in 2018, Farm & Community Collaborative, Inc. is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity by improving access to local farm-fresh produce for underserved populations in Southeastern Massachusetts. The organization focuses on communities designated as food deserts, including the Gateway cities of Brockton, Fall River, New Bedford, and Taunton.
Impact
In its inaugural year, the Farm to Family program provided farm shares to 135 families living below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). By 2022, with a generous $150,000 grant from the Southcoast Community Foundation, the program doubled its reach, serving 285 families. Remarkably, 100% of clients reported increased food security and improved nutrition.
