Family Violence Program of St Bernard
EIN: 58-1834566 · Chalmette, LA
Our Story
Established in 1987 under the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Family Violence Program of St Bernard has been a beacon of hope for survivors of domestic violence. Initially operating from the old St. Bernard General Hospital, the program faced challenges after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Resilience and community support allowed the program to continue, moving into newly renovated facilities thanks to generous donations and volunteer efforts.
