Our Story
Founded 25 years ago by compassionate faith communities, Family Promise of Western New York began as the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Buffalo. In 2020, the organization transitioned to a static-site shelter model, doubling its capacity to serve families in need.
Our Impact
As one of only two shelters in Erie County that keeps families together during homelessness, Family Promise of WNY serves over 70% children among its guests. The new shelter model provides a safe and supportive environment for families to regain stability.
