Our Story
Family Promise of Montgomery County was founded by Karen Olson after witnessing the struggles of a homeless woman. Established in 1986, this organization began as an interfaith hospitality network in New Jersey and has since expanded nationally, providing shelter, meals, and support to homeless families with children.
Impact
Since its inception, Family Promise of Montgomery County has served 537 families and 856 children, providing over 204,307 meals and 65,029 bed nights of shelter. With a remarkable 93% employment success rate for families completing their programs, the organization is making a significant impact in alleviating family homelessness.
