Our Story

Established in 2008, Family Promise of Lawrence has been a beacon of hope for families facing homelessness in Lawrence, Kansas. The organization welcomed its first family in the fall of that year and has since expanded its services to meet the growing needs of families in Lawrence and Douglas County. As part of the National Family Promise Organization, the mission is clear: to serve children and families experiencing homelessness or precarious housing situations, helping them return to permanent, sustainable housing as quickly as possible.
