Our Story

Founded by Karen Olson, Family Promise was born from a deep understanding of homelessness. After witnessing the struggles of a homeless woman, the need for a comprehensive approach to assist families became clear. Established in 2010, Family Promise of Irving has since served over 315 families, providing shelter, meals, and essential support services.

Impact

With over 200,000 volunteers engaged nationwide, Family Promise boasts an impressive 88% success rate in helping families secure housing after shelter. For every dollar raised, the organization returns three dollars in goods and services to the community, showcasing its significant local impact.
