Family Promise of Gainesville

Our Story

Family Promise of Gainesville began in 1998 to combat homelessness in Alachua County. As an affiliate of Family Promise, the organization evolved from the Interfaith Hospitality Network to better reflect its mission of ending family homelessness.

Impact

Since its inception, Family Promise of Gainesville has assisted over 4,300 individuals, with 95% of families remaining housed a year later. Last year alone, 5,660 meals were served, and 4,960 shelter nights were provided.
