Our Story

Family Promise of Davie County was founded to combat family homelessness in the local community. Inspired by Karen Olson's encounter with a homeless woman, the organization seeks to provide more than just food; it aims to transform lives. Since opening in 2017, Family Promise has dedicated itself to offering prevention services, shelter, and support to families in crisis, helping them achieve sustainable independence.

Impact

Since its inception, Family Promise of Davie County has positively impacted over 1,000 individuals, with an impressive 90% of families remaining housed one year later. The organization has also successfully prevented over 640 episodes of homelessness, providing a safe haven for more than 750 children.
