Our Story

Family Promise of Albuquerque was inspired by the journey of Karen Olson, who began assisting homeless families in New Jersey. Since its inception, the organization has transformed from interfaith hospitality into a comprehensive program that addresses family homelessness through prevention services, emergency shelter, and stabilization programs.

Impact

Since 2003, Family Promise of Albuquerque has served over 500 families, with an impressive 94% of those sheltered finding permanent housing. For every dollar raised, the organization returns three dollars in goods and services, showcasing its effective resource utilization.
