Family Matters of Central Florida was founded by Amy Bekemeyer, MA, to address the urgent need for counseling services in Clermont and Lake County. Initially helping a father in a custody battle, the organization has grown over the past 20 years to provide vital support to single parents, pregnant teens, and abused children.
Since its inception, Family Matters has transformed the lives of hundreds of families, offering thousands of hours of tutoring and educational support. With a remarkable 99.5% passing rate for students promoted to the next academic level from 2018-19 through 2023-24, the organization continues to make a significant difference.
