Our Story
Established in 2002, the Family Involvement Center was born from a deeply personal journey. Founder Jane Kallal witnessed the challenges faced by her children—one struggling with behavioral health issues and the other with physical health challenges. This experience ignited a passion to advocate for families navigating similar struggles. Through collaboration with educators, youth leaders, and healthcare professionals, Jane recognized the importance of the family voice in addressing children's needs.
Empowering Families
Today, the Family Involvement Center stands as a beacon of empathy and understanding. Governed by a Board of Directors, over half of whom are parents with firsthand experience, the organization is dedicated to supporting families dealing with autism, custody battles, and parenting challenges. The FIC offers a range of free services, ensuring that families receive the support they need during difficult times.
Impacting Lives
The mission of the Family Involvement Center is to assist families and caregivers of children with emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. By working with policymakers and service providers, the FIC aims to transform systems to help children succeed in school, live with families, and become productive adults.
