Our Story

Founded in 1981 by Dr. Arthur Ablin, Family House provides free housing and support for families of children facing cancer and life-threatening illnesses. Established to alleviate the hardships of families traveling long distances for care at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, Family House has expanded its facilities to accommodate more families, ensuring a supportive environment during their most challenging times.
