Our Story

Family and Youth Initiatives (FYI) was co-founded in 1978 by Pat Banaszak and Carol Tipton to provide free education and support to struggling teen mothers. Over the years, FYI has expanded its services to assist and impact more members of the community, focusing on empowering families and providing hope through various programs.

Impact

FYI serves 227 families a year through the Parenting Network, 3,898 students a year through Real Life Choices, and has donated 3,152 pounds of produce to food pantries through its community garden, impacting the lives of many in the local community.

Why Donate?

Donating to FYI supports their mission of rescuing and empowering families and children, providing essential education, training, and support to prevent future trauma and improve lives in the community.
