Our Story

Founded in 1943 by dedicated volunteers, Family and Children's Service has a rich history of supporting children orphaned during WWII. As one of Nashville’s oldest nonprofits, F&CS has continually adapted its services to meet the evolving needs of the community, focusing on the most vulnerable children and families.

Impact

Each year, F&CS serves over 90,000 Tennesseans, creating a vital safety net that ensures all children and families can be safe and healthy, especially those who fall through the cracks of traditional social services.
