Our Story
The Family and Children's Law Center (FACLC) was founded in 1985 by Bonnie Hough, Judge Verna A. Adams, and Ann Diamond to provide low-cost legal services to women lacking access to justice in family law matters. Originally named the Family Law Center, the organization focused on addressing the disparity in legal representation for women, especially in domestic violence cases. In 2003, FACLC expanded its mission to include children and families, adapting to the evolving needs of the community.
