Our Story

Families for a Cure began in 2006 when Pat Puhl and Eric Friedman met to discuss a shared vision. Pat, the host of The Double Bogey Invitational, and Eric, founder of The MJF Fund for Cancer Research, decided to collaborate on a golf tournament to raise funds for cancer research. Their partnership blossomed, leading to the establishment of Families for a Cure in 2009, after successfully raising $25,000 in their first event.

Our Impact

Since 2004, Families for a Cure has raised over $1 million to support cancer research and patient care programs.
