Our Story
The Falls Church Community Service Council, Inc. (FCS) was established in 1969 with a mission to provide emergency support to neighbors in need. Founded by Orville Splitt and Pastor Bill Nies, FCS has grown from a vision of collaboration among faith communities into a vital resource for the Falls Church area. Over the years, FCS has expanded its services to include a food pantry, Meals on Wheels, a clothing closet, and emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities. Throughout the Covid pandemic, FCS adapted its services to meet the increased needs of the community, ensuring that no one goes hungry or faces eviction.
