Transforming Lives: The Story of Faith and Fostering

Faith and Fostering emerged from a heartfelt desire to uplift homeless young adults, particularly those aging out of foster care. In March 2020, this nonprofit was officially recognized, thanks to the unwavering support of the Northwest Louisiana community. Generous sponsors and partners rallied together, providing essential resources to help these vulnerable individuals.

With the donation of three one-bedroom apartments, Faith and Fostering began its mission to offer a safe haven for young adults as they crafted their individualized independent living plans. The community's support extended beyond housing, with an outpouring of furniture and furnishings to create welcoming homes. The first young adult moved into an apartment in July 2020, marking a significant milestone in the organization's journey.

October 2020 brought further excitement with the donation of a three-bedroom home, allowing Faith and Fostering to accommodate more young adults and a house parent. The growth continued in 2021, with increased awareness of the mission leading to a surge in enrollment applications. The hiring of an Executive Director and a Case Manager strengthened the program's structure, enabling young adults to achieve important milestones.

In 2023, Faith and Fostering experienced remarkable growth, receiving a third donated home and five acres for community development. This expansion will serve an additional 14-16 young women, while Holly's Haven transitioned to support young men. With a growing team of dedicated staff, Faith and Fostering is poised to make an even greater impact in the lives of homeless young adults.
