Faith Academy

Our Story

Faith Academy was established in 2013 as a vision of former Parkview Pastor Doug Fern. After years of youth ministry in southeast Iowa City, Doug and a dedicated team sought to deepen their impact on local children and families. Inspired by a visit to Hope Academy in Minneapolis, they took a leap of faith, starting with just 2 grades and 12 students. Today, Faith Academy has grown to 8 grades, with plans to expand to 9 grades by 2025, serving 118 scholars.

Over 50% of our operational costs are supported by the generosity of individual donors and partners, allowing us to provide quality education.
