Our Story

In 2004, Pastor David Iverson discovered that the local Fountain Hills food bank was on the verge of closing. Driven by a passion for community service, he collaborated with former directors to take over the food bank's operations. The mission is clear: to help friends and neighbors during their most challenging times. Since then, the demand for food assistance has surged, with the food bank now serving nearly 1,000 individuals each month, offering not just food, but also hope.

Impact

Extended Hands Food Bank has made a significant impact, serving over 5,400 individuals monthly at a cost of just over $20.83 per person. Volunteers prepare hundreds of food boxes each month, working tirelessly to eliminate hunger in the community, one person at a time.
