Empowering Through Skateboarding

Exposure Skate is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women, girls, and nonbinary individuals through the transformative power of skateboarding. Founded by Lesli Cohen and Amelia Brodka, this initiative was inspired by the Underexposed documentary, which highlighted the lack of opportunities for female skateboarders. Since 2012, Exposure Skate has evolved from an annual competition into a year-round program offering classes, camps, retreats, and scholarships.

Making a Lasting Impact

With over $300,000 raised for domestic violence support programs, Exposure Skate has fostered a welcoming community for underrepresented skateboarders. The organization has successfully hosted competitions that unite skateboarders from 25 countries, significantly enhancing visibility and opportunities for nontraditional skaters.
