Our Story

Exponential Power of Women, or EXPOW, was founded by neighbors Kate Slaughter and Shanna Schiavon in 2010. What began as casual conversations at a bus stop evolved into a powerful movement connecting women for good. By uniting their community, they discovered the potential to create real impact through collaboration. EXPOW aims to harness the collective strength of women to address local challenges and support those in need.

Our Impact

EXPOW changes local lives in significant ways, from rescuing single mothers and their children from homelessness to providing essential resources for families facing eviction due to medical issues. The organization also supports local school counselors in providing basic necessities for children in need.
