Our Story
Founded in response to the tragic disappearance of 12-year-old Ann Gotlib in 1983, ECHO, the Exploited Children’s Help Organization, has been a beacon of hope for children and families in Metro Louisville. This pivotal event sparked national awareness about child safety and led to the creation of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. ECHO is dedicated to preventing and reducing child abuse through education, advocacy, and support services.
