Our Story

Founded in 1971, the Experimental Television Center has been a pioneer in supporting artists and organizations in the realm of video technology. With roots tracing back to 1969 at Binghamton University, the Center has facilitated over 1,600 artists through its residency program, fostering creativity and innovation in video as a contemporary art form.

Impact

Since 1989, the Center has awarded over 1.5 million dollars to diverse projects in film, audio, video, and new media, facilitating thousands of public viewings of works created by participating artists.
