Our Story

Evolve Mentoring was founded in 2011 by Tolulope Omokaiye, recognizing the urgent need for youth, particularly Black and brown individuals, to be better prepared for life after graduation. The organization has grown to become a vital resource for young people aged 14-24 in Wake County, focusing on mentorship and life skills development.

Impact

By equipping youth with essential life skills, Evolve Mentoring empowers them to become leaders and break negative generational cycles. Research shows that youth with mentors are significantly more likely to enroll in college and take on leadership roles.
