Our Story

The Evanston Fourth of July Association was founded in 1922 to create a safe and entertaining celebration of Independence Day. Established after a tragic incident involving fireworks, the organization aims to foster community pride through supervised festivities. Over the years, it has grown to offer a full day of activities, all funded by generous donations from individuals and local businesses.

Impact

After a three-year hiatus, the Association successfully revived cherished traditions, bringing back the grand parade and spectacular fireworks display, all made possible through community donations.
