Our Story

The Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center was founded in the late 1960s to address the neglect of cultural arts. Originating as an after-school program at Dunbar High School, it has grown into a vital cultural hub in Baltimore, named after the legendary musician Eubie Blake. The center continues to thrive despite challenges, including a devastating fire in 1993, by offering diverse programs that celebrate the visual and performing arts.
