Our Story

Eternal Hope in Haiti Inc. was founded in 1993 by Twilla Locklear Haynes to address the dire health and living conditions faced by at-risk children, families, and the elderly in northern Haiti. The organization emerged in response to a measles outbreak in 1986, aiming to restore health and provide a nurturing environment for medically fragile children. Continuing Twilla's legacy after her passing in 2020, EHIH remains dedicated to her vision through the commitment of her family and loyal partners.

Our Impact

In Cap Haitian, Haiti, EHIH significantly improves the quality of life and health outcomes for vulnerable children and families. The organization has educated over 140 children and young adults while providing ongoing health care services to manage chronic diseases at no charge.
